Our new home in Holt

i am the storm is a not-for-profit community space for yoga, strength, sauna and rest — now at our new studio at 7B Bayfield Brecks, Holt, North Norfolk.

What we are

What is i am the storm?

i am the storm is a not-for-profit community studio offering yoga, strength classes, a wood-fired sauna and monthly retreat days — now based at our new studio at 7B Bayfield Brecks in Holt, North Norfolk.

Everything we do is guided by community impact rather than profit, in the spirit of karma yoga — selfless service. The studio grew from founder Clare Muncey's own life transition: seventeen years in the Metropolitan Police before yoga became, first, a lifeline and then a calling. The name is a reminder that we can be our own calm and our own strength.

Where

Where are we?

We've moved — you'll now find us at our new studio at 7B Bayfield Brecks, Holt, North Norfolk NR25 7DZ, a short walk from Holt town centre.

Our new home is a calm, light-filled space built for practice: warm wood, soft light, and room to breathe. Parking is available close by, and Holt's independent shops and cafés are right on the doorstep — many people make a morning of it.

Who it's for

Who is it for?

Everyone. Our classes are accessible and inclusive by design — beginners are genuinely welcome in every regular session, mats and props are provided, and teachers invite you to work at your own pace.

If you're returning to movement after injury or illness, please check with your GP first; then tell your teacher, and they'll adapt the practice around you. That conversation happens here every week — you'll be in good company.

What it costs

What does it cost?

Single classes are £15, the 10-class pass is £120 (£12 a class), community sauna sessions are £15 an hour, and retreat days are £30.

Passes work on every weekly class, credits return automatically when you cancel, and first-time visitors can use the welcome code on the timetable page. As a not-for-profit, every pound goes back into the space.

The name

Why "the storm"?

Because life is weather. The studio exists to help people find steadiness inside it — not by escaping the storm, but by discovering they are stronger than it. Our intention, said at the end of every practice: "may all beings everywhere be happy and free."
